Kayak Fishing Tips
Did you know that kayak fishing is the way to go if you are not ready to invest alot of money in a boat. For under $1,000, you can own one, and a fully loaded one for under $2,000. This is a very peaceful sport because it does not use a motor. You can potentially bring in larger catches with a kayak compared to conventional boating. A kayak can be fitted with a variety of accessories and electronics like fish-finders, bait tanks, holding tanks, and even carbon fiber paddles.Remember to always wear a life vest when your on the water. Even if you are a skilled swimmer or a beginner, you never know what may happen. These are fairly easy craft to tip while setting the hook or reaching for that large catch. You could possibly hit your head on the kayak or rocks that are above and under the water. It is always better to be safe than sorry, and most of the time you will be alone out on the water without help should something bad happen.
Do not overload a kayak with to much gear. A kayak sits just above the water, and the more weight you add, the greater the chance you may flip or sink. Always remember to follow the kayaks recommended operating weight each time you are on the water fishing.
